Upon acceptance of a franchise granted pursuant to this chapter, and prior to commencement of any work, construction, maintenance, or operations within the City, a grantee shall furnish the City with certificates of insurance and an endorsement reflecting blanket additional insureds status or a certified copy or original of a comprehensive liability insurance policy naming the City as an additional insured. The amount of such policy shall be as deemed appropriate by the City. This insurance shall be maintained in full force at the grantee’s expense throughout the entire period of the franchise.
