A. Library Board of Trustees is created and established, which shall consist of five members, who shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to confirmation by a majority vote of the City Council, all of whom shall be residents of the City at the time of their appointments and during their tenures of office. Appointments shall be made from citizens of recognized fitness for the position and shall be selected without respect to political affiliations, race or sex. Members shall not receive a salary or other compensation for services as trustees, but necessary expenses actually incurred shall be paid from the library funds. (Ord. 2581 § 3 (part), 2011).
