The fund has been established for the purpose of accumulating funds for the acquisition, maintenance and repair of emergency equipment and supplies which would benefit department safety efforts. The monies deposited into the Emergency Services Fund shall be expended only for such purposes and for no other purpose unless otherwise directed by ordinance of the City Council.
