It shall be the duty of the Fire Chief to enforce all ordinances duly enacted and passed by the City Council regulating fire safety and pertaining to operation of the Fire Department and to do all things necessary for the prosecution of offenders in the manner prescribed, the Fire Chief, subject to the supervision of the Mayor, shall be responsible for the training, discipline, and control of all firemen, including volunteer firemen.
