A violation of any of the provisions of this chapter constitutes a traffic infraction, punishable by fine in the amount provided by applicable court bail schedule, or if none is in effect, in the amount of fifty dollars. In addition to any penalty for violation of the provisions of this chapter, such violator shall be liable in a civil action instituted in the name of the City for any damages occasioned to any city street as the result of such violation.
